In the images above, you can see that Matt’s left shoulder has rotated around to a position in front of his neck. Also notice, at address, how far back of the ball is the center of his head, about 8 inches, and how he’s leaning somewhat in the back direction. We’ll have more to say about this later when we discuss address position.
Raising your left arm above your shoulders increases stretch greatly. Incredulity may creep into your mind when you feel how high your hands are. But, believe: Jack Nicklaus, in Golf My Way, says they should feel as if they’re “punching through the clouds”.
