Golf Swing Training Aid

A golf swing trainer aid is often the best tool for improving your swing.  The following excerpt is and example of the type of info that can be valuable to the individual trying to improve their swing.

The above three images surprise most everybody. So much instruction exhorts us to slide the hips forward and then turn them. Or, bump the hips forward and then turn. The red line is drawn on top of the center seam in the back of Matt’s pants. Notice that, from top to impact it moves slightly back!! Rotation, rotation, rotation. Around, around,
around. Focus on rotating--forward will take care of itself.

This key move, hips snapping ahead of the shoulders, has a prerequisite. To start, please think of your body as divided at the waist into two parts, each of which is going to feel as if it’s being used wholly differently.

(Many muscles above your waist will fire vigorously, but you won’t feel that happen.  Above your waist, you want to feel floppy throughout the entire motion of hitting a golf ball.)

Another issue frequently arises when golfers attempt this drill. The snappy hip rotation pulls their heads forward and up. Watch out for this. Along with maintaining your upperbody, hands/wrists/forearms floppiness, keep your head down and back.
