Junior golf lessons are the best way to get the young golfer started on the right foot, developing proper skills before developing bad habits that are difficult to break when they are older. The following is an excerpt from our books and video.
If this drill is not yielding crisp contact plus a new sensation of near effortlessness in hitting the ball 40 yards, very probably you haven’t gotten utterly floppy. Ut ter floppiness, absence of control, are counterintuitive. Loosen up--totally.

Work up to longer and longer shots, but stay focused on your hands through the ball. Make sure they stay floppy. Do not feel yourself use any hands/wrists/forearms muscles to advance the whiphead to the ball. Your floppy upper body will simply react, laggingly, to your zippily uncoiling hips by getting dragged loosely into a wild whirl.
Shoulder path steepens as left hip whirls behind. Remember Swail pointing out earlier that the left hip whirls 12 to 13 inches around and behind, and that the right hip moves mostly forward? The hips feel almost as if they’re snapping out from under your shoulders.
