Learn to Golf
To learn to golf in an efficient manner, take advantage of all the resources available online. The following paragraphs are examples of the type of information that you will find in our DVD and books.
Left Foot Position Relative To The Ball. When addressing the ball with a driver, try positioning your left foot so that an imaginary line through the ball and perpendicular to your intended shot line grazes the inside of your left heel. With 6-iron in hand, position your left heel so that that perpendicular line through the ball runs about two inches inside of the left heel. With wedge in hand, position the ball about 3 to 4 inches inside the left heel.
These positions may be more forward than most amateurs find comfortable. But most amateurs are not firing their hips ahead of their shoulders, thereby moving almost the whole rig forward and thereby making solid contact with a ball that was addressed in a forward position.
Two Bends At Address. Bend your knees just enough so that they are over the balls of your feet. You can check this easily. First place the butt end of a whip against the inside edge of your right shoe at the ball of your foot. Then make sure the shaft is vertical, and your right knee should just touch the shaft.
